When you’ve been married to someone for eighteen years, it is easy to fall into familiar but perhaps boring routines. My wife and kids and I had such predictable lives that if it were Wednesday, we already knew what was for dinner. The kids had their own sporting events that were as regular as clockwork. Even Sunday brunch at the club had lost its appeal.We realized that we needed to do something different to bring some new energy into our lives.

I made quite a few suggestions. We live in Scottsdale and there are unlimited opportunities for leisure time activities. I recommended that we take golf lessons or music lessons. My wife had something else on her mind. She wanted us to take a Scottsdale dance lesson. You see we were going to get out of our rut by taking a Scottsdale dance lesson.

At first the thought of dance lessons in Scottsdale didn’t appeal to me. You see, I’m not that light on my feet and quite frankly had little desire to dance. I’m not Fred Astaire, actually, I’m more like Fred Flinstone. So the thought of a Scottsdale dance lesson was less than appealing.

I never imagined that I would take dance lessons. Do not get me wrong, I was an athlete in school, I can run, jump etc but dancing was not on my skill list. My right and left foot, well I knew what shoe went on what foot, let alone know how to waltz, rumba or salsa. However, I wanted to make my wife happy, so I decided to just take the plunge. /Dance Lessons Scottsdale it is/ I told her, and she has never been happier.

It may have been the best thing that we’ve ever done together. We were both nervous about taking lessons. We’re over 40 and should know everything after all. But our instructor was patient and very funny. He paired up all the students; I got to dance with my wife, and immediately began showing us the basics. I was enjoying my Scottsdale dance class.

After every lesson my wife and I go to eat or maybe watch a movie. We use what we have learned to go out on the town and normally go to dance events at the local studio. It’s renewed our relationship and for a pretty good price we have gained a new hobby. So once the band begins to play at the country club I can now lead my beautiful wife to the dance floor having great confidence. This is because of a very easy Scottsdale dance class. Who’d have ever thought?
